It’s “Team Member Thursday”, and this week we are introducing James Bennett who is an Account Manager for LMP’s Sarasota branch. We caught up with James to learn a little about his journey in the green industry:

How long have you been in the green industry? I began in 2002, where I got my start by working with a friend who had started a landscaping company. 

What do you like about the green industry? The fact that it is an opportunity to enhance the natural beauty of the earth. I enjoy providing care for the health of landscape materials especially the trees, turf, and vast variety of flowers that shine throughout the various seasons. The opportunity to work as a team with other individuals committed to caring for the landscape is an added bonus.

What designations or certifications have you obtained? I completed my Best Management Practices (BMP) certification, and I am a licensed spray technician.

What interesting hobbies do you have? I love to fish and play golf!

What is your mantra or catch phrase? Why? “Make it Happen”! It is a common mantra at LMP that means, to me, we need to take action to provide preventative and corrective service that ensures the physical health and appearance of the landscape is maintained. It also suggests that if you want to do something you should take the initiative rather than thinking or dreaming about it.
